There is something grounding about this bracelet. Put it on and it falls into place: secure around the wrist, eye-catching without feeling heavy, and soon so comfortable that you forget it is there.
Three strands are twisted together by hand: rose copper, gold brass and silver tone. Each strand is first shaped separately and brought under tension before all three are twisted into one braid. Keeping the tension even throughout takes patience, so the braiding is never rushed.
People have worn copper against their skin for thousands of years, long before anyone tried to explain why. They simply kept wearing it, and the tradition quietly passed from hand to hand through the centuries.
This bracelet is meant to be worn on a wrist, not left lying in a drawer. May it find the right wrist.
