Discover the universe in a whole new way with this carefully crafted orrery, which realistically depicts the planets of our solar system and their movements in stunning detail. In addition to being a striking decorative object, this display also serves as an educational instrument that demonstrates the mechanics of celestial bodies.

This model includes a complete set of 9 planets, including Pluto, and 28 moons. A dynamic display shows the Moon following its orbit around the Earth while the Earth itself moves around the Sun.

Interestingly, Mercury completes 1,028 revolutions around the Sun for every single orbit Pluto completes; in the model's mechanism, Mercury's orbit takes about 4 seconds compared to Pluto's 4 hours.

The Sun, planets, and moons are made from fine semiprecious stone spheres, and brass versions of the planets with stone moons can be supplied by special order. The piece is battery-operated unless another option is specified.

A striking mechanism lies fully visible beneath the rotating planets, showcasing a detailed set of solid brass gears in action.

The refined craftsmanship continues with a twelve-sided oak drum that houses the gearbox, elegantly resting on 12 solid brass feet for an extra touch of sophistication.
